Burning Bridges.

"I dont think I would be able to stand that I have just wanted to be normal once again for so long. I have seen so many people die and had to kill so many as well. Anyways for what it is worth I dont think your a freak I think your a very beautiful young woman." Raphael followed Reckless to the mansion doors.

As the doors opened Cameron was walking by them and noticed reckless and a man that he has never seen before but he can tell he's a vampire. Welcome to my home. I am Cameron Krill and you are? Cameron says extending his arm out to shake his new guests hand.

"I am Raphael Wolf it is a pleasure to meet you." Raphael said as he took the hand of Krill and gave him a firm handshake. "You have a wonderful place here. I would like to learn more about your coven."

Reckless gave a silent nod before slipping into the shadows and vanishing to her small room upstairs.
She closed her door and opens the wardrobe and looks at her dress. A dark black with a peacock feather pattern from the bust line to her waist. She then got prepared, frankly she hated dresses but knew this was an occasion for formal attire.
After about fourty minutes quiet clips of her high heel shoes echo around the upstairs area, she saw many eyes on her as she nervously stood at the top of the stairs. Her trembling right hand grips the railing as she shakily made her way down the steps.
Despite the blush on her cheeks, it was easy to see her face was pale, heights plus high heels really made her nervous.
Reckless then sighs in relief as she was on a flat surface. Closer up it could be seen that her hair was back in a messy bun, and that she was wearing a black pearl necklace.
"Stop staring at me. I'm not that pretty." the lycan female grumbled in embarrassment upon seeing Krill and Wolf also gazing at her.

"If only you could see yourself how we see you. You probably would think otherwise." Raphael had not seen someone look so beautiful in a very long time. He looked at Cameron and whispered "Hey can I borrow a suit and someplace to shave and shower? I'm sorry to ask this of you having just met but I don't feel like I have anything for that is acceptable for this." Raphael then looked back towards Reckless and wished he was next to her walking her to the party.

Cameron looked at Reckless please greet the other guests and then join us in the main hall. I'm going to get Raphael cleaned up. Then he started walking with Raphael I'm so glad you made it here. You have been alone for far too long. So to answer your question about the coven. I inherited a lot of pain in the ass things created by Victor and Marcus. It took a decade to stop the fighting between us and the Lycans and another six years to get the treaty together. For a long time a lot of people on both sides had a hard time letting go of the past that was built on lies. The thing I regret most is during the initial talks many of Victors followers did not want peace so some left the coven while the others challenged me and I was forced to kill them, but after all that people started to come around to the new way and accept it. So once my elder status was put into order I reorganized all the covens bringing them under my banner. They came to an empty room. Well here we are, you are welcome to come and go as you please but I strongly wish that you would stay for good I could always use someone I can trust. Anyway there are clothes in the closet casual and formal wear, if they don't fit just call for our tailor and he'll assist you. Do you have any questions?

" Thank you it would be very nice to stay here and call this place home. I guess the biggest question is what are your rules as far as feeding and contact with the outside world." Raphael said as he walked into the room and started to look through the different suits that were available. Picking one that he thought might be his size he tried it on and it almost fit perfectly the shoulders were a tad bigger but not by enough that he would need it to be altered. "Also what do you do for money or jobs. I do plan to pull my own weight around here to help however I can." he asked while putting on the suit. It was a jet black with small pen strips of silver running down the length of the coat and bottoms. He started to walk to the sink where he quickly fixed his hair and shaved. He then started back down the stairs hoping to find reckless once again.

Raphael smiled and said "So if that's the case I might need some cash to get started then due to the fact that I do not have any of my belongings anymore that I use to use for money. Over the past 50 years or so I have taken an interest in street racing and given that I have heightened sences I am actually very good. I was unbeatable in the Russian circuit. I also use to be an assassin for hire on the side. So for me to get started I need some guns and a car that I can win in. If this is to much to ask for I will find another way. Oh and if you know of a company who would like to sponsor me that also will make it cost less up front." Raphael started to draw up plans for a racer. "Oh a place to work on cars would also be appreciated I of corse would do all of the covens Maintenace as well if you so wish."

Reckless had not gone to terribly far, large crowds made her paranoid. She made eye contact with Raphael as he walks back down the stairs, the expression in her icey eyes cried for relief and removal from the loud commotion.
Shakily moving back to the steps where Krill and Wolf were descending she snagged her heel on a crack in the floor and ended up grabbing a table cloth, only for it to bring the table and a glass punch bowl falling onto her.
Reckless whined before her breath hitched, the glass shards had only scratched her..but she was bleeding. The lycan bit her lower lip as her eyes water, she heard her name called but ran off, soaked and embarrassed beyond belief.
Once outside she broke the high heel shoes in an angry fit as her sobs became more audibly heard.
"M-My best dress.." she quietly cried as she sat against a tree, hiding her face in her slightly bloody hands.

Cameron thought for a momentCome with me,  I think I may have something for you. They head out the back door into a large open area.  Once they stop in the middle of the grounds blue lights several cars can be seen ranging from classic,  muscle, imports, super,  armored and luxury cars.  Cameron then walks towards a car that's not lit up yet once they stop It lights up in bright red showing Raphael's new car.

The lycan had made a few guests alarmed after she had ran out. Someone had quietly cleaned up the glass and blood. The vampire who had cleaned the mess slipped into the garage where Krill was.
"Many pardons sir, but..miss reckless I fear sustained an injury after falling in her heels..she ran outside and is bleeding.." his voice was even.
Reckless was loosing a lot of blood and she was rather pale and weak.

Raphael saw what had happened to Reckless but he decided it best for him to give her a little bit of time and space then he would check up on her to make sure she was alright. Following Krill and seeing the car his jaw dropped for a second. "Are you sure I know that this car isn't exactly cheep or many of them being produced right now. Anyways I should go check up on Reckless I smelled blood when she fell and we wouldn't want it to cause some sort of outbreak." Raphael walked out the the tree where he could tell that she was sitting under.

"Are you ok?" He said as he squat down beside her and lifted her head up to meet his eyes. "Here let me see your hands I brought some stuff to keep them from getting infected." Placing the bandages on her hands he was trying to be as careful as he could not to cause her any pain. "Here take my jacket and go I will help you upstairs so you can get out of these wet clothes. Heck if you want I will even take you up there using the express elevator also known as me jumping up to the window. I am sorry that this night is not going as planed for you." Raphael smiled trying to lighten to mood and as he got up he caught his foot on a tree limb and tripped over himself falling into the lake behind the tree. Getting up to his feet he let out a huge laugh that almost fell over again. "Well it looks like neither of us was meant to go to this party tonight haha. Why don't we go get changed and we will walk down together and hopefully keep each other out of trouble."

Reckless gave a soft laugh and managed a slight nod. Moving to stand proved a challenge though, when the table crashed down on her it had badly bruised her back, forcing her to stay down against the grass.
"I think my back is refusing to let me move..damn heavy wooden table.." she complained as she looks up at Raphael for assistance, a soft blush upon her cheeks.

"Well I guess I will just have to make tooth picks out of that table then." Raphael said to try and get a smile out of Reckless. "Here let me help you." Raphael picked her up letting her lay against his chest as he jumped up towards her window. The air smelled sweet on this clear night. After getting to where her room was he helped her in and then walked over to the other room where Krill had allowed him to get a suit from. This time he put on a plain black suit with a black tie, and made his way back to the side of Reckless's room. "Once your ready come to the window there is something I want to show you before we go back down."

Reckless had put on her favorite hoodie with a black t-shirt and a pair of jeans with holes in the knees with some old tennis shoes.
Moving to the window the lycan waits curiously for what the vampire had to show her.
"Raphael?" she asks aloud wondering where the vampire had gone.

Appearing from the side of the window he stretched his hands out to hers to help her onto the roof once again. Then leading her to the top he sat down and looked up into the sky. "Now if you look over there you will see a constellation that I used long ago to find my way back home. Its call the great wolf. Ironic I know that a vampire use to use a wolf in the stars to find his way but this was when I was a young boy back in Scotland. Would you like to hear the story behind it? It seems that most people today cant see it or even remember that it existed. He pulled her close by putting his arm around her.

The female nods eagerly, she liked hearing stories from others past.
She looks at him and then to the constellation with intrest.

Suddenly automatic gun fire rings out from the main hall, lots of yelling,  screaming.  Cameron yells out Get them out of my house. Guards kill them. Several death dealers arrive heavily armed and begin shooting.  Other vampire members began fighting hand to hand and even feeding on them. my lord they are human. a vampire guard said. After an unsuccessful raid attempt the humans started to retreat.  Some made it to their cars while others was either shot, bitten,  stabbed or even laid on the ground bleeding out. "Find Raphael and tell him to find me. I'm going after these bastard." Cameron said looking at Raphael. Cameron then ran into the open area and got into one of his cars.
and peeled out of the parking lot following the intruders.

"The story of the wolf comes from my people back when we were just a young group of settlers. The cheif of the tribe had three sons who would one day go on to lead their own tribe's in order to populate what is now known as Scotland. One day the youngest of the brothers was out hiking and lost his way home due to a sudden and violent rain storm. He was lost for days until upon the brink of starving to death he was greeted by a wolf who's coat was so soft that he couldn't believe his eyes. The wolf didn't try to harm him instead it brought him a leg of a deer that it had killed just an hour earlier that day. He was able to get a fire going and cook the meat allowing him to eat it and stay alive but he still didn't know where to go or how to get home. So laying down he began to cry but this wolf wouldn't leave him there it kept nudging him like it wanted him to get up and follow. After deciding that he had nothing left to live for or anything to loose in doing so he got up and the wolf showed him the way home. He was so happy that he gave the wolf a hug and started to run towards his home.

Now his brothers were standing watch that night and they saw their brother running towards them and they were happy but then their faces turned sour for the wolf who had saved his life was running behind their brother still trying to protect the man. His brothers not knowing this however thought he was getting chased and taking aim shot the wolf with their bows killing it. The youngest brother heard the welp as the life left the wolf and he was so stricken with greiff that he in turn returned to the woods never to be seen again. However he prayed ever day for his friend that the gods would look after the wolf. Upon his death he and the wolf were reunited but this time the wolf could speak to the man since they were both spirits. It said "Welcome Home" the brother was so pleased that he begged the gods to give his brothers a sign that he was once again happy and they could stop worrying about him. So the gods placed this constellation in the sky. If you look 15 degrees to the left you can see a man with arms wide open. If you look at the two together there are no stars in between the two and to my people it is as if the youngest brother is welcoming the wolf into a running hug. My home is where my loved ones are and back when I was a kid every time I got lost I would just look at the sky and these two constellations and somehow find my way back home even if I didn't look at the ground at all."

Suddenly the guard broke through the window telling them both of the news, and the gunshots echoed in the distance. "Stay here I don't want you to have to see the side of me that I feel is about to have to come out." Raphael jumped down and ran to the garage grabbing two 1911 style pistols and an assault rifle along with some extra ammo. Then he jumped into the car that Krill had shown him earlier and starting it up he peeled out of the garage in pursuit of the attackers. His expert precision driving skills allowed him to dodge the car that Reckless had disabled. Blaring past he knew the guards would take care of this one and the occupants.

Cameron was weaving in and out of traffic hitting speeds at 80-85 mph. He grabbed an MP5 from under the seat and fired at the passengers, the driver still lived but only cause Cameron wanted him to. He hit the gas and bumped the rear bumper of the other car causing him or her to swerve but regained control.

Raphael was quickly approaching hitting speeds of 150 to catch up. Grabbing his pistol he took aim for their tires and after putting 4 holes in it with hollow points the car lost control and swerved into a tree on the side of the road. He would follow Cameron's orders on to weather to stop or go after the other car.

Cameron could see Raphael behind him. signaled for him to come up on the side of him, once he did he yelled out. I want this prick alive. Cut in front of him and box him in bumper to bumper and slow down to a stop.

"Gottcha boss" Raphael quickly made his way to the front of the car and slowed down till the bumpers were touching. The humans tried to swerve a few times but with his heightened sences Raphael was able to keep in front no matter what the humans did. He applied his breaks even further and the smaller car didn't have the power to push two cars. The humans eventually over loaded the engine and they quickly came to a stop. Raphael got out of his car holding the rifle to his shoulder to discourage the humans from running.

Reckless watched them go anxiously as her mood dropped. She melted into her wolf form and walks the grounds to insure no intruders were hiding about. Smelling blood she wandered into the woods, large pine trees rubbing their sweet spell upon her fur as she pushed through. Suddenly a loud snap erupts followed by a blood curling howl of pain, Reckless had just triggered an old bear trap and was crying bloody murder at the top of her lungs, wailing her wolf heart out, not daring to convert back to human with such a wound. The bear trap was staked to the ground and held by a thick chain, preventing movement, she began to cry and pull the chain, causing more damage to her leg already spilling precious blood.
"Raphael! Help!!" Reckless had mentally spoken the words which would cause Raphael to hear her voice in his head, but she also additionally threw in the horrid image of her mangled front leg locked in the metal jaws of the bear trap.
