Burning Bridges.

Another gaurd was walking by, when he saw his companian and a lycan looking like it was in pain. He had handled the wolves before so he had an understanding of what they wanted when in their wolf form. The guard walked over to them and looked at the lycan. Try to tell me little one, what ales you? Would you like me to fetch an elder?"

Reckless whined softly and shook her head, putting a paw to her throat to the best of her ability. She was trying to say she couldn't speak in this form and didn't know how, but to her, she thought her attempts were nothing but pathetic.

The guard notice the wolf try to point to its throat. The guard tried to think what it could mean. The guard had delt with previous lycan a and knew they could not talk in their wolf form. The guard looked at the young lycan yet again, If you are tryin to tell me you can not speak in your current form, I already know this young lycan. If that is what you are meaning then please be so kind as to nod your head.

The guard noticed the wolf nod, but then whimper. He could not fully understand what was wrong with the lycan. He looked at the other guard the was just standing there. Go and inform the elder and leader of the situation with the new visitor. Then go and look for our healer, maybe she can figure out what is wrong with the wolf. The other guard nodded and rushed off. You will be okay. the guard told Reckless.

The guard could tell that the animal was scared. He didn't know what he could do, but talk to her. Though he knew she couldnt respond, he didn't know what else to do until help returned. I know you can not speak, but if there is any way I can help you, please just tell me. All I know to do is speak to you, young wolf. Is that helping?

As soon as the wolf collapsed, Malikana rushed in with the other guard. Tell me guards men, what is wrong with this lycan? Malikana ordered.

The guard stood up and bowed before his elder. M'Lady, the youngin seems to be in deep pain. Malikana shook her head and walked, as if floating, over to Reckless. She examined her hear to foot, and noticed something shinning in the wolf's forehead. She focused her hightened eyes on the object, and gasped. Take her to the medic wing! NOW! She has a bullet in her head that needs to be removed.

The guards jumped and picked up the wolf, bringing her to the medic wing.

The gaurd was careful to place the younge wolf on one of the beds in the medic wing. As his elder aproched, he backed off.

Malikana walked over to the younge wolf, and smiled gently. She placed her hand gently on the wolf and lowered her self to the wolf's ear. I will fix you up, my dear. Please forgive me for not noticing the wound earlier, for if I had seen it, I would have fixed it right then. I will give you something for your pain, and put you in a deep sleep. When you awaken, the bullet will be gone. the vampire raised her self back up to her full hieght and grabbed what she needed, and hooked Reckless up to an IV.

Soon after, the wolf fell asleep and Malikana began to oporate. An hour passed by, and then a few more hours past, when the vampire was finished. She cleaned up, and closed the wound on Reckless's forehead. Now all Malikana could do was wait for the wolf to awaken. She turned to the gaurd that had helped her and ordered, Go tell our leader of the events that have unfolded and that Reckless and I will join him in the celebration shortly. The gaurd bowed and ran off.

Malikana was staring off into space when her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a female's voice. She blinked a couple of times, before she remembered where she was, and the events that had just occurred. Malikana then turned to see Reckless laying down, just looking at her.

I have removed the bullet from your head, and healed you up. You may feel pain, but that is normal. She shifted from her spot by the bed and went to grab a bottle. She walked back over to the younge girl, and handed her the bottle. This is your pain killers, take them every three to four hours as needed. But I need to get you ready for the ball that is happening down stairs. Malikana then helped the lycan off the bed.

Malikana felt the lycan wince, and instantly felt bad. She was not the one normally to feel any emotion to lycans, since they were the once that destroyed her clan. There was just something about this girl that made Malikana want to help her. One could say, a motherly attachment, but she had only felt that once before. She brushed the feeling away, and helped her to the door.

Yes, Cameron, the one that rescued you, is throwing a celibration. Malikana felt like she wanted to tell Reckless more, like two best friends gossiping, but she bite her tongue. Have you been to a ball before? The vampire was careful not to hurt the wolf to much as they made their way down the hall. A thought suddenly crossed her mind, You have no pack or clan or anything to go back to...do you?

Reckless was about to reply when a new scent filled her nose giving her a chill. It had vampire smells to it. The female lycan then follows the aroma outside and noted a figure among rhe shadows.
"Hello. Is someone there?"

Raphael stepped out of the shadows he was very cautious since this was his first time encountering a Lycan. "I don't want a fight. I was told I could find some other vampires around here. My name is Raphael and I have been searching for others of my kind for years. I was told that there was someone here who might could help me." Raphael said as he slowly raised his hands and put them on his head.

The lycan laughs lightly.
"At ease. No need to go putting your hands behind your head."She spoke calmly, pulling the hood of her striped hoodie off her head to allow her dark blue hair to cascade down her shoulders.
"Nice to meet you Raphael. I am Reckless. I can take you to the vampire leader Krill. You showed up at a good time, he was just about to host a sort of celebration from what I heard." The lycan then gently took the others hand and escorts him to the mansion in the distance. Her ice blue eyes caught the moon light, thankfully it was a crescent moon and nothing more, it was a very clear night.

"Thank you" Raphael said with an awkward sound to his voice. "I'm sorry I haven't had contact with anyone for so long that I can barely remember how to act in a social situation. I also dont have anything that would be fit for a celebration the only thing I own are these rags and a few trinkets in this backpack." Even though Raphael was 735 years old he never tried to get rich just made sure he could survive and not get discovered that however was getting harder and harder in this day and age.

"Dont worry! Its not any sort of gift giving occasion just a get together is all. And to be honest I am in a more awkward situation. I'm the only lycan currently on these grounds." Reckless replies with a small grin, pearly canines showing.
"Trinkets? What kind?" the females intrest peaked at a mention of trinkets. She used to explore herself and had collected many things from her endeavours. Sadly some got lost in a snowstorm last winter.

Smiling back she could see his elongated canine teeth but nothing compared to hers. "Well first here is the dagger I had when I was still a human. Its from Scotland when I was fighting beside William Wallace. Next is a paintbrush that the artist Van Gogh used when paining starry night. The last thing that isn't just a pice of junk with some sentimental value or something I just thought was cool is." Raphael pulled out a string with a very simple but elegant looking ring on it. "Saddly this is my most precious possession but I can never touch it again for it is a pure silver ring that was given to me by my mother. I had hoped to give it to someone when I find the right person to spend my life with but so far I have never found anyone who I can do that with. They eventually find out what I am and run in fear. The only person who didn't was murdered for protecting me from a mob. But I do not wish to ruin the night so I will save that for another time if you would like to know more about it. The story is long and sad but I am not one to keep secrets from those around me.

Reckless blinks as she heard mention of a mob.
"This mob you speak of..were they vampire hunters? Armed to the teeth with crosses, stakes, and holy items?" she had released hold on his hand as her pupils shrunk to diamond slivers, giving her a more feral look.
"I had been sent to take them out before a truce between our species came into play..they had been harassing a city up in new york the jerks." she snarled low then focused her mind and converts down to a large dark pelted wolf with ice blue eyes. Her legs had the remains of old stab wounds that had been stitched up, with a cross shaped burn on her back, the fur missing in that shape.
The wolf breathed heavily, eyes aglow at the memory. Her ears pin back and she then laid down quietly in the thick forest grass.

"Its hard to say not knowing when it happened. This mob attacked me back when I was fighting in the french revolution. So I highly doubt that its the same group of people but it dose however sound like it might be a group that was formed and carried on the traditions through the ages." Raphael noticed the scars and he could tell that they was a source of pain for the Lycan. "Im sorry to see that you have to live with these scars. If you would like I can try to use the healing powers I learned from a gypsy to try and restore your body if you would like." Raphael to had scars but he didn't like for others to see them since they covered most of his body. He had been burnt by acid, silver, wooden stakes drove through various parts of his body but not his heart. The people who did this to him would make sure he would not die from their torture.

Still learning to use her voice as a wolf she shrunk back to her human form, nothing changed, still donning the same hoodie and shorts.
"I can tell you have had worse done upon you." she taps the tip of her nose to silently say her sense of smell was very heightened than most others. She moves a bit of her hair out of the way and exposed small dots that went around her neck in a perfect circle, needle marks.
"Just be glad scientists didn't get a hold of you...I was stuck being tormented for five years thanks to them..I was seen as a freak." her eyes shift to the ground before she then sighs loudly and gestured for Raphael to follow her to the mansion, she frankly had sidetracked them from their destination.
